Support a green future for Ellenbrook Fields!
Ellenbrook Fields is a green oasis in Hatfield and a valuable open space for the localcommunity. A quarry on this site would be totally inappropriate. As well as...
I am standing to be your Labour MP, to serve the community that I call home.
I was born at the old QE2 hospital in Welwyn Garden City and live in the constituency with my wife and two young sons.
I am passionate about our community. It’s a place with a rich history and such promise for the future, but too many people in Welwyn Hatfield have been let down by 13 years of Conservative failure.
We need a fresh start. We need a Labour government to turn around our economy, fix our public services and take urgent action on climate change.
The polls are clear, Welwyn Hatfield is a marginal seat once again and it’s only Labour who can beat the Conservatives here.
I will be making the case for change between now the General Election and will run an optimistic and visible campaign. If you’d like to know more, please get in touch.
Keyworkers got us all through a pandemic, but now our public services are crumbling. They need more support and fresh leadership. Labour will hire more doctors, nurses and police officers – and pay them fairly.
The cost of living crisis is caused by Conservative failure. Labour will build a fairer economy, stand by those in greatest need and get growth moving. Our plans will be fully costed and deliverable.
We owe it to future generations to act now to tackle climate change. Labour’s national mission is to be a clean energy superpower and as your candidate I’m supporting the proposed new solar farm in West Welwyn, which will deliver a significant boost to local renewable energy.
Welwyn Hatfield has an acute housing crisis. More than 3,000 people on the council housing waiting list and house prices that are out of reach for so many local people. I will champion social and affordable housing, built to high standards.
Your donations can help me win Welwyn Hatfield for Labour

Andrew Lewin, Labour Parliamentary candidate for Welwyn Hatfield, has today set out a four point plan to support local workers in Hatfield who risk losing their jobs with Ocado....
Andrew is an experienced campaigner with proven evidence of standing up for others. I am in no doubt that he will fight tirelessly for our constituency; and provide the change in local representation Welwyn Hatfield desperately needs after years of Tory neglect.
I’m thrilled Andrew is running to be our candidate. He lives with his family in the ward I represent in Welwyn Garden City and he has done a huge amount to support me and my fellow councillors. We need a local candidate to beat Grant Shapps. Andrew is dedicated, full of energy and ideas and the person I want to be our next Labour MP.
I’ve campaigned alongside Andrew for years, where he’s played a key role in winning Labour campaigns. He’s experienced, passionate about social justice and Labour’s best choice for winning Welwyn Hatfield. I know he can beat Grant Shapps and then be your champion in parliament.
I’ve known Andrew for 10 years, campaigned alongside him in General Elections and seen his passion for taking Labour back into government. I know he has what it takes to be a successful MP. Andrew is ready to take on Grant Shapps and above all he has that decency we so badly need in politics.
Andrew is a great supporter of Welwyn Hatfield, driving forward the local Labour campaigns. He is well aware of the key issues in the town and brings great experience and understanding of national politics. I am sure he is the right person to be our parliamentary candidate and that we can unite behind him to defeat Grant Shapps
I’ve been active in the local politics of Welwyn Garden City for some years now and Andrew’s commitment and drive has been really impressive. He has strong local roots, cares deeply about our community and has the skills and experience we need in Welwyn Hatfield’s Labour candidate for parliament
Andrew welcomed me into the party, encouraged me to get involved in local campaigns and to run for council. He has a real passion for Welwyn Hatfield and a track record of winning campaigns. I know he has what it takes to win and I hope members join me in giving him your vote.
Violence against women remains shamefully and persistently high.
On #WhiteRibbonDay, we say enough is enough.
Together with @YvetteCooperMP we have set out @UKLabour’s plans to halve violence against women and girls. ⬇️

Of course, being able to use a hammer is not essential to be a Prime Minister, but this clip of Rishi Sunak does explain a lot.

Waking up to a Labour gain in the constituency of Jonathan Gullis!
Congratulations to Sarah and my fellow Parliamentary Candidate - @david4lcs.
Happy Friday!🌹
Under the Conservatives, the last 13 years have been an unprecedented failure.
Public services under immense strain.
Real terms incomes falling.
And an opponent who has voted for 25 separate tax rises.
We need to do things differently.
We need a @UKLabour plan for the economy.
Pat Cummins last year, Ben Stokes this year.
Heartening to see cricket's biggest personalities saying no to the money and making it their priority to represent their country.
Despite all the empty promises today, our economy is not working and people are still worse off.

This government has the audacity to claim it is making, "long-term decisions".
Today proved otherwise.
While Conservative MPs are tweeting graphics about tax cuts, here is the damning verdict from the @instituteforgov - one of the most respected think tanks in the country.
I am keen to hear from as many people in Welwyn Hatfield as possible. Please do take the time to get in touch with my campaign or sign-up for e-mail updates below. Thank you, Andrew.
